Ladies-in-Waiting™ is designed as an added benefit for employers and payers, as well as their participants. It was created by Critique to reduce catastrophic pregnancy outcomes, reduce medical complications, low birth weight and premature deliveries; thereby protecting the health of mother and child. The program is implemented through focused health screenings, early assessment of each woman’s potential risk, close monitoring, support, education and intervention when necessary. Care continues even after delivery; providing postpartum support, education of infant care and well-child visit recommendations.

Ladies-in-Waiting is included with our Chronic Disease Management and Large Case Management service. Like those services, maternity management may be automatically activated through codes received via claims data loaded into our system. Information is the key to successful maternity management. Critique learns about pregnancies through claims information as well as other sources. Once a pregnancy code is received from the claims payer, Critique initiates communication with the mother-to-be. We don’t wait for her to call us.
